The Building's Story.

The building began as the Wiggs Building, where clothing was sold as early as 1897. It became a department-store address in 1902 and operated as Belk Hudson from 1941.

A 2022 renovation introduced ten apartments above locally owned businesses. Belk Hudson Lofts sits within the Moultrie Commercial Historic District. The photographs on this page show its current exterior and common areas.
